Requirements:

At least 3 years’ experience working as a Microsoft SQL Server for Database Administrator position
Experience running query analysis, performance tuning, and maintenance routines
Experience with creating and maintaining stored procedures
Experience with database clustering (FCI or Always On Availability Groups)
Familiar with basic Windows administration
Powershell or Python experience is required

Responsibilities:

Main DBA contact for off-hours maintenance.
Actions day-to-day tickets from end users, including but not limited to: Database restores, database decommissioning, and end-user assistance with large transactions.
Research SQL Agent and Orchestration job failures.
Assists with basic SQL indexing.
Assists with initial setup of DBA team-maintained processes.
Provides support on DBA team standardizations.
Ensures databases are backed up and can be recovered.
Other duties as needed to support DBAs, Data Architects and Developers.
