Requirements:
  • At least 3 years’ experience working as a Microsoft SQL Server for Database Administrator position
  • Experience running query analysis, performance tuning, and maintenance routines
  • Experience with creating and maintaining stored procedures
  • Experience with database clustering (FCI or Always On Availability Groups)
  • Familiar with basic Windows administration
  • Powershell or Python experience is required
Responsibilities:
  • Main DBA contact for off-hours maintenance.
  • Actions day-to-day tickets from end users, including but not limited to: Database restores, database decommissioning, and end-user assistance with large transactions.
  • Research SQL Agent and Orchestration job failures.
  • Assists with basic SQL indexing.
  • Assists with initial setup of DBA team-maintained processes.
  • Provides support on DBA team standardizations.
  • Ensures databases are backed up and can be recovered.
  • Other duties as needed to support DBAs, Data Architects and Developers.
