Spanish Bilingual Medical Coder (US Healthcare)

Must be AAPC/AHIMA certified coder Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong communication skills Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Medical Coding within a US healthcare setting Deep understanding of US Insurance Plan Structure and HIPAA regulations Exceptional detail-oriented approach for accurate coding and compliance Willingness to work in US time zones (graveyard shift)

Efficiently translate and code medical documentation from Spanish and English for accurate billing and insurance claims Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures related to diverse patient cases Assist clinic/practice managers and staff with queries concerning coding and billing to optimize processes Identify and rectify inconsistencies or incomplete documentation by collaborating with healthcare providers Conduct audits to resolve coding denials and to verify that documentation is complete and accurate Maintain a systematic recording of coded charts to ensure proper organization and tracking of all cases Research coding regulations and guidelines to uphold high standards of quality in all submissions Engage in best practices for ensuring comprehensive coding documentation processes
