Requirements:
  • P&C License and Surplus Lines License or L&H License in all states (if required by product line) required within 45 days.
  • Undergraduate studies in business administration or related field of study; degree (preferred)
  • One year of related insurance experience (preferred)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform policy service activities primarily by phone and electronically within established time and service standards.
  • Assist underwriters with agency support activities and aim to complete all transactions in a first time-final mode.
  • Make decisions to accept, modify, or decline business of lower complexity according to policies, practices, and standards.
  • Determine the accurate classification of risks to ensure the matching of price and product to the customer.
  • Research information from multiple sources, following company guidelines, to support underwriting analysis.
  • Review individual risks for acceptability based on multiple carriers' underwriting guidelines, state regulations and surplus lines requirements.
  • Consult with agents, internal, and external partners regarding customer service activities.
  • Plan completion of assignments to meet agreed-upon timelines and service level agreements.
  • Provide service to agencies by sharing and requesting information to support the business.
  • Maintain and form relationships by providing quality customer service.
  • Achieve team goals through developing a profitable book of business and strategically growing both policies in force and premium.
