Requirements:
BS/MS in related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, safety) or associated science degree. Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in process safety management, safety and environment (HSE), related experience in process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment. Experience in Safety with hydrogen energy systems, electrolyzers, fuel cells, manufacturing, Transportation, mobility, or end-use renewable energy applications with hydrogen and other technologies in the renewable energy industry. Knowledge of Hydrogen energy and fuel cells product development, safety leadership, management, and engineering. Experience working with major fuel cells; hydrogen energy and fuel cells, i.e. proton exchange membrane, direct methanol, solid oxide and alkaline fuel cells. Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs. Experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures. Experience developing and evaluating HSE management systems and advising management at all levels of the organization to effect positive change. Experience in performing process hazard analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, fault tree/event tree analysis, fire and explosion modeling, or level of protection analysis (LOPA). Recognized knowledge of safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, IEC61511/61508 standards. Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations. Self-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.
Responsibilities:
Manage technical projects involving process safety management for hydrogen systems. Serve as subject matter expertise on hydrogen hazards and technologies, codes and standards, and industrial best practices. Process Safety Management systems program development and enhancement. Process Hazards Analysis (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, and/or QRA) studies. Safety Instrument Systems specification and design. Networking with the hydrogen manufacturing industry and user base to represent AcuTech.
