Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development in a robust, high-performance multi-service ecosystem.
• Experience as the most senior engineer on a mid-sized engineering team in a Ruby on Rails and React environment.
• Strong experience using PostgreSQL and NoSQL to build flexible data models.
• Expertise in building software using core AWS Services (ECS, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Enjoy technical leadership through code reviews and system design sessions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong expertise in designing software through monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
• Experience mentoring engineers in building scalable and reusable software.
• Passion for creating accessible user experiences.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness, able to impact quickly.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Take a hands-on leadership role in shaping the design, development, and optimization of web and mobile applications.
• Lead the creation of scalable, high-performance APIs and services, contributing to frontend components.
• Drive improvements in system architecture through leadership in code reviews and design sessions.
• Collaborate with Data teams to design data models for operational and analytical needs.
• Partner with DevOps to leverage AWS for cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Implement monitoring and observability practices for service availability, security, and scalability.
• Own key initiatives and mentor engineers to enhance technical expertise.
