Social Worker – Knowsley – Fostering Team

Social Work England registration is required. Eligible to work in the UK. Must hold a full UK driving licence. Post-qualified experience is necessary. A degree level or equivalent in Social Work is mandatory.

Recruit and Assess Foster Carers: Identify potential foster carers, conduct assessments, and ensure they meet necessary criteria. Provide Support and Supervision: Offer ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, addressing issues and providing guidance. Develop Care Plans: Create individualized care plans for foster children to focus on well-being and development. Monitor Standards of Care: Regularly check standards of care provided by foster carers for compliance with policies. Facilitate Training and Development: Support learning needs of foster carers through training programs. Liaise with Other Professionals: Work closely with social workers, legal services, and relevant agencies. Handle Child Protection Issues: Address child protection concerns ensuring safety of foster children. Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of interactions, assessments, and care plans.
