Engineering at Armada

Armada is building the hyperscaler for the edge, focusing on modular AI infrastructure. This involves designing rugged, deployable compute for environments where centralized cloud services are not an option. Engineers solve complex problems related to data center architecture, high-density compute, and massive-scale AI infrastructure. This includes architecting the Armada Edge Platform (AEP) for seamless orchestration across globally distributed, high-latency, and disconnected environments. They drive visionary initiatives like Data Centers in Space, adapting the Armada stack for orbital compute modules. Challenges include radiation-tolerant software, thermal management, power-constrained AI processing, and secure Earth-to-space data orchestration. Technical strategy involves identifying emerging technologies in high-density GPU orchestration and orbital data processing. The team masters distributed systems, data storage in resource-constrained environments, and systems programming in Go, C++, or Rust, understanding the interaction between software and physical compute hardware and non-terrestrial networking layers.
