Democracy Works is a nonpartisan nonprofit building the technology that empowers American voters. We develop and maintain tools like TurboVote, Voting Information Project (VIP), and Ballot Scout, ensuring accurate and accessible election information for all citizens. Our work directly impacts voter turnout and participation across the nation, making voting easier and more efficient. We leverage a robust tech stack including PHP, nginx, Apache, and utilize best practices for security like DNSSEC and HSTS. Our engineering team thrives in a fully remote work environment, embracing collaboration through tools such as G-Suite and Slack.
