Engineering at Focal Systems

We are a Deep Learning-first company, solving real-world retail challenges with cutting-edge computer vision. Engineers build and maintain scalable backend services using Python (Flask/FastAPI) that process data from hundreds of thousands of IoT devices. You will design REST APIs, improve React/TypeScript frontend features, and manage blue/green deployments for smooth launches. We value shipping over ceremony, deploying weekly to customers. Expect to use your skills in data analysis, debugging complex architectures, and optimizing data-intensive applications. Our stack includes Python, React, TypeScript, MySQL, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
