Requirements
- Have solid experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
- Have advanced SQL skills.
- Have hands-on experience with dbt and a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
- Have experience designing event tracking plans with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Segment.
- Have experience with ELT and data integration tools such as Weld, Stitch, dltHub, or Fivetran.
- Have experience orchestrating workflows with Airflow or a similar tool.
- Have solid knowledge of data modelling, including dimensional modelling, incremental models, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Be comfortable working directly with engineers, product managers, and analysts and translating their needs into data products.
- Have English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Responsibilities
- Design semantic layers and metadata, including descriptions, metric definitions, and business context, so AI tools can query data accurately.
- Own data quality tests, metric definitions, and documentation.
- Develop dbt models that turn raw data into reliable, documented datasets.
- Keep real-time Amplitude reporting consistent with exact Snowflake and dbt reporting.
- Build, run, and monitor ingestion pipelines that bring product, payments, marketing, and third-party data into Snowflake.
- Orchestrate pipelines in Airflow, with alerting and clear recovery paths.
- Design event tracking plans with product teams.
