Job Details

Experience
3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis systems administration with a bachelor’s degree in a technical field; or 7-10 years of stated relevant experience with no degree.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 3-5 years of SAP Basis systems administration experience, or 7-10 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Hold a current CompTIA Security+ certification; certification is required after selection if not already held.
  • Have advanced understanding of SAP Basis tools and processes, including system builds, upgrades, client copies, operating systems, printing, backup and recovery, and high availability.
  • Have experience with SAP products such as ECC, S/4HANA, and Fiori.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to troubleshoot complex issues and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Be able to travel less than 5% for client technical forums or site support.

Responsibilities

  • Gather client and business stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Lead SAP solution design and implementation, including proofs of concept for new projects or add-ons.
  • Install, migrate, and integrate SAP systems across complex SAP landscapes.
  • Work with OS and database administrators to optimize system performance.
  • Manage SAP upgrades, corrections, transport management, client and landscape strategies, and batch scheduling.
  • Administer SAP users, access controls, authentication, and security measures.
  • Train end users and client personnel on SAP Basis processes.
  • Maintain technical documentation and test and troubleshoot SAP Basis services against documented requirements.
  • Resolve complex SAP issues with technical teams and SAP support, and serve as an escalation point for less experienced team members.
