Requirements
- Have a technical bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience, or 7–10 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Hold a current CompTIA Security+ certification; the certification is required after selection if not already held.
- Have advanced understanding of SAP Basis tools and processes, including system builds, upgrades, client copies, OS, printing, backup and recovery, and high availability.
- Have experience across SAP products such as ECC, S/4HANA, and Fiori.
- Be able to anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Be able to support, coach, and maintain accountability.
- Have strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Be able to collaborate in a team and work with minimal supervision.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be available for limited travel of less than 5% to client technical forums or sites.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze client and business stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to SAP solution design and implementation, including proof-of-concept work for projects and add-ons.
- Install, migrate, integrate, and administer SAP systems.
- Work with OS and database administrators to optimize system performance.
- Manage performance, upgrades, corrections, transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, and batch scheduling.
- Implement user administration, security measures, access controls, and authentication mechanisms, and monitor system performance.
- Train end users and client personnel on SAP Basis processes, and mentor junior consultants.
- Maintain technical documentation and test and troubleshoot SAP Basis services against documented business processes and requirements.
- Resolve complex SAP environment issues with technical teams and SAP support.
- Travel occasionally to client sites for in-person support or technical forums.
