Requirements
- Bring strong hands-on software engineering experience focused on backend development and production-grade applications.
- Be proficient in Java and Spring Boot, or have strong experience with comparable backend technologies and willingness to work in the core stack.
- Have experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Understand databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Have familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
- Understand system design principles, application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Have experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting live applications.
- Be familiar with messaging and asynchronous processing technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or Redis.
- Demonstrate the ability to guide the design and implementation of complex systems as a technical go-to person.
- Have experience designing reusable components, services, and architectural patterns.
- Be able to navigate technical tradeoffs, influence architecture and engineering practices, and mentor engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
- Take ownership of system quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the 1ExigerAI platform.
- Develop product capabilities such as real-time alerting, workflow builders, and supply chain investigation tools.
- Own features and projects from technical design through development, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and design to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications using microservices, containerization, and modern infrastructure practices.
- Contribute to system design, architectural improvements, and technical decisions affecting scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and strengthen system reliability.
- Use AI-powered development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to AI-enabled engineering workflows for development, testing, code reviews, deployment, and automation.
- Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and maintain engineering quality.
