Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Have strong commercial experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Understand object-oriented programming, software design principles, and clean-code practices.
- Have experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Have experience building and maintaining production-grade backend applications.
- Understand distributed systems and modern backend architecture.
- Have practical experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Have strong knowledge of version control, especially Git.
- Have experience with automated testing and modern software engineering practices.
- Be able to analyze technical problems, evaluate approaches, and explain architectural trade-offs.
- Be fluent in English and Polish.
- Be located in Poland for at least 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain high-throughput, resilient backend microservices in Java or Kotlin.
- Drive technical decisions and system design, author design documents (RFCs), and evaluate architectural trade-offs.
- Design and evolve REST APIs, event contracts, and external integration layers for enterprise clients.
- Own services from technical conception through CI/CD automation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Optimize performance, concurrency, fault tolerance, and resource utilization across distributed components.
- Conduct code reviews and architectural pairing, and set testing and clean-code standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Platform/DevOps, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into decoupled domain models.
- Identify technical debt and drive modernization initiatives across platform tooling and pipelines.
