Requirements
- Bring strong experience as a backend software engineer.
- Have deep proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM-based languages.
- Have experience designing, building, and operating microservices in distributed systems.
- Understand relational databases such as PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures such as Kafka or SQS/SNS.
- Have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Be familiar with infrastructure-as-code concepts and CI/CD practices.
- Have experience with observability and reliability tooling, including logging, metrics, tracing, and performance optimisation.
- Be comfortable working with Jira, Confluence, and Git-based workflows.
- Take a practical approach to problem-solving and consider tradeoffs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to deliver work in the Embedded Payments and Onboarding squad.
- Build and maintain onboarding and identity capabilities for direct businesses, embedded partners, and customers of licensed partners.
- Develop and maintain the orchestration layer and APIs behind KYC/KYB, identity checks, sanctions and PEP screening, customer risk assessment, and agreement signing.
- Integrate Salesforce into engineering practices in collaboration with Salesforce experts and engineers.
- Integrate ID&V and RegTech vendors into the engineering ecosystem.
- Help keep engineering practices compliant and up to date with regulatory requirements.
- Favor simple, effective, and sustainable product designs.
