Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of practical ML engineering experience with Python.
- Have owned deployed models and written reliable production code.
- Have experience integrating predictions with external platforms through APIs to enable automated actions.
- Have advanced SQL and BigQuery skills, including feature creation, data checks, and recurring transformations.
- Have hands-on experience deploying ML workloads on GCP using services such as Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Composer/Airflow.
- Have production experience with gradient-boosting models such as LightGBM, CatBoost, or XGBoost.
- Be able to tune and evaluate models against business metrics.
- Be able to calibrate predictions and evaluate how model errors affect downstream decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain production ML models in reliable, well-tested Python code.
- Create features, data-quality checks, and recurring transformations in BigQuery.
- Deploy and operate ML workloads on GCP using Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Composer/Airflow.
- Integrate predictions with external platforms through APIs to enable automated actions.
- Tune and evaluate gradient-boosting models against business-relevant metrics.
- Calibrate predictions and assess how model errors affect downstream decisions.
