Requirements
- Have experience shipping ML systems to production that people depend on.
- Have hands-on experience with production LLMs, including prompting, retrieval, tool calling, and agent-style workflows.
- Have built evaluation datasets and frameworks and be able to distinguish real improvements from noise.
- Demonstrate strong ML fundamentals and reason about which approaches fit different problems and their tradeoffs.
- Have experience turning loosely defined problems into systems running in production.
- Write production-quality code and be familiar with distributed systems.
- Be able to debug messy ML pipelines.
- Communicate clearly with technical and clinical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate at least Level 1 AI proficiency: using AI daily to boost personal productivity.
Responsibilities
- Own ML projects from exploration through production deployment and continue iterating based on real-user experience.
- Design multi-step agentic LLM workflows with tool use, retrieval, and orchestration for clinical settings.
- Build evaluation sets, offline and online harnesses, LLM-as-judge pipelines with human review, and regression tests.
- Improve model quality using prompting, retrieval, distillation, or fine-tuning based on evidence.
- Work across data preparation, model adaptation, serving, monitoring, and production feedback loops.
- Partner with Product, Clinical, and Engineering to translate clinical requirements into technical decisions and surface tradeoffs.
- Review code, share learnings, and mentor engineers earlier in their careers.
