Requirements
- Have run a developer platform in production, including CI, image builds, developer environments, or internal tooling used by many engineers.
- Have helped ML engineers or researchers work faster without making the platform fragile.
- Be able to use Linux and Kubernetes to debug production systems.
- Have written software in Python or Go.
- Be comfortable extending established open-source projects rather than rebuilding them.
- Have worked with researchers, ML engineers, or another team whose goals differed from yours.
- Have identified a bottleneck, proposed a fix, and driven it in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience operating a GPU cluster is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Run secure developer environments that stay controlled and accelerate developer velocity as the research organization scales.
- Own container image build and CI/CD tooling.
- Instrument training code and build self-service tooling so researchers can understand failed runs and debug them.
- Set infrastructure best practices through AI enablement, documentation, and office hours.
- Troubleshoot production failures and performance problems.
- Build automation, infrastructure-as-code, and observability to keep the platform maintainable.
