Requirements
- Have 5+ years of project management experience for the junior level or 10-15 years for the senior level.
- Demonstrate a track record of managing multiple concurrent software projects.
- Have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Have expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management practices, and be able to select practices appropriate to each project.
- Have hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Linear, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- Have experience managing remote or distributed teams, including asynchronous communication and cross-time-zone coordination.
- Hold a four-year undergraduate degree.
- Hardware or IT infrastructure project exposure is a plus.
- A CSM, PSM, or PMP certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of concurrent technical initiatives, primarily software projects, with occasional hardware and IT infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and dependency maps.
- Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and resourcing conflicts before they affect delivery.
- Run sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives for software development projects.
- Apply traditional or waterfall practices to hardware and IT infrastructure projects when appropriate.
- Coordinate engineering, QA, IT, vendors, and distributed teams across parallel workstreams.
- Translate technical requirements between engineering teams and business stakeholders, clarifying scope, timelines, and trade-offs.
- Report project health, milestones, and risks to the Senior PM and department leadership.
- Manage distributed team members across time zones and maintain consistent communication and documentation.
- Refine department project management standards, templates, and processes.
