Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of engineering management experience.
- Have 2 to 3 or more years of experience managing multiple teams.
- Have experience scaling teams and leading other managers.
- Demonstrate a track record of owning product or business outcomes such as delivery speed, quality, growth, retention, or margins.
- Bring strong backend architecture and design experience and sound technical judgment.
- Be willing to remain hands-on.
- Have experience with TypeScript or Python, AWS, and MongoDB.
- Bring a background in K-12 education technology or related learning and teaching fields.
- Be able to work in a fast-growing environment, communicate technical trade-offs clearly, and align cross-functional partners.
- Have experience learning and applying AI capabilities.
- Be able to travel for occasional company gatherings and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery and team leadership across product squads focused on scheduling, visibility and reporting, and elementary education.
- Contribute code, review work, and pair with engineers, with the balance shifting toward organizational leadership over time.
- Make technical architecture decisions that support platform reliability and future growth.
- Partner with product and school-facing teams to set squad goals and align engineering priorities with business outcomes.
- Deliver product improvements ahead of the school scheduling season, including AI-powered capabilities.
