- At least five years of experience building external-facing developer products, such as APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms used by engineers.
- Demonstrated experience designing APIs and shipping libraries that developers integrate into their applications.
- Strong TypeScript skills; experience with Python SDKs is also relevant.
- Comfort using AI in your own workflow and interest in the potential of agentic systems.
- Ability to identify and address ecosystem needs without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Comfort owning a product area in a small company with fluid team responsibilities and boundaries.
- Strong writing skills, including producing clear documentation, changelogs, and SDK reference material.
- Ability to balance delivery speed, maintainability, and simplicity.
- Nice to have: experience at developer-focused companies.
- Nice to have: experience designing or maintaining agent SDKs or other agentic developer tools.
- Nice to have: familiarity with the platform as a user.
- Nice to have: open-source contributions or personal or professional projects in the AI tooling ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the public REST API, improving API design, versioning, error handling, and rate limiting.
- Develop and support client SDKs in TypeScript and Python, and lead the launch of upcoming SDKs.
- Ship the Agent SDK and expand it to support multi-step, agentic workloads.
- Improve developer documentation, examples, and starter repositories as entry points for developers.
- Make APIs, SDKs, documentation, and other developer tools effective for AI coding agents.
- Instrument and evaluate the resources developers and AI agents encounter first, and use insights to improve onboarding and adoption.
- Collaborate with Developer Relations, Product, and Platform teams to identify ecosystem gaps and deliver solutions from discovery through launch.
- Identify opportunities to improve developer tooling and execute initiatives independently.
