Requirements
- Hold a university degree in an analytical field, such as Business or Mathematics.
- Have experience in the insurance industry through coursework, an internship, or work experience.
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize insights into improvement opportunities.
- Have superior skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite or Google Docs Suite.
- Collaborate effectively and build working relationships.
- Communicate effectively with external insurance carriers and internal senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing priorities in an agile, project-based environment.
- Knowledge of analytics software such as Looker, Amplitude, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Knowledge of product management software such as Confluence and Jira is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of internal MGA insurance programs.
- Analyze online and referral underwriting appetite to identify opportunities to grow instant pricing and written premium.
- Recommend pricing changes using profitability analyses, market trends, and pricing optimization performance.
- Recommend question-set improvements based on drop-off analyses and underwriting needs.
- Update policy document automation to reflect underwriting changes and expansions.
- Collaborate with Insurance Analytics Managers and Underwriting Specialists to implement agreed changes to the website, guidelines, and training tools.
- Communicate changes to operational underwriting and sales teams.
- Use Looker, Salesforce, Amplitude, and Excel to build reports and identify insights.
- Analyze online questionnaires, implement improvements through Flow Writer or developer tickets, and track their impact.
