Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, or a similar role.
- Bring hands-on AWS experience, including IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, and other core services.
- Have experience administering, troubleshooting, and security-patching Linux environments.
- Have working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern application deployment practices.
- Have scripting and automation experience in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Have experience administering SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Atlassian Cloud, or Slack.
- Understand identity and access management, security best practices, and least-privilege principles.
- Be familiar with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
- Be confident troubleshooting infrastructure, applications, and end-user technical issues, and handling IT support alongside engineering work.
- Have communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively within a small technical team.
- Contractors must provide proof of incorporation and up-to-date insurance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure, Linux environments, and internal applications.
- Support infrastructure provisioning, containerised workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments.
- Perform infrastructure maintenance and security patching.
- Handle internal IT support requests, including troubleshooting, account provisioning, access management, and connectivity issues.
- Investigate infrastructure and application incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Administer Google Workspace, Atlassian Cloud, Slack, and Microsoft 365, including configurations, permissions, integrations, and user lifecycle.
- Build scripts, integrations, and automated workflows across IT support, cloud infrastructure, and business systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, support vulnerability remediation and access reviews, and assist with security monitoring and ISO 27001-aligned compliance activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure records in line with change management procedures.
- Identify and deliver cloud and SaaS cost-saving opportunities.
