Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in technical leadership or technical product roles, such as CTO, Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager, Development Manager, or Technical Product Manager.
- Strong practical understanding of frontend and backend web technologies, APIs, integrations, databases, deployment processes, and infrastructure.
- Ability to assess technical proposals, identify issues, and make informed architectural and engineering decisions.
- Experience managing or closely supervising external development teams, technology vendors, or outsourced engineering partners.
- Experience launching digital products from the ground up, ideally in B2C, subscription businesses, mobile applications, gaming, e-commerce, or performance-driven environments.
- Hands-on experience with recurring payment systems, payment service provider integrations, production monitoring, and incident management.
- Experience designing scalable platforms and shared technical architectures for multiple products, markets, or languages.
- Understanding of subscription business models, conversion optimisation, retention, churn, and unit economics, or willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
- Familiarity with Stripe, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Mixpanel, Amplitude, A/B testing platforms, and SQL.
- Daily proficiency with AI-powered development and analytical tools, including Claude Code, AI prototyping platforms, and LLM-based workflows.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Own new subscription products and conversion funnels across development, launch, testing, scaling, and localisation.
- Audit technical infrastructure, development processes, teams, tools, and external vendor relationships, and implement approved improvements.
- Lead project planning, delivery management, code quality, release management, and technical standards.
- Manage external development and DevOps partners, setting priorities and evaluating proposals, estimates, quality, budgets, and timelines.
- Design and improve scalable platform architecture for product lines, subscription services, and localised customer journeys.
- Make technical decisions about architecture, integrations, infrastructure, databases, hosting, and development tools.
- Oversee technology-stack reliability and performance, including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and production stability.
- Manage recurring billing systems and payment-provider integrations, and optimise payment success, routing, and subscription flows.
- Develop prototypes and MVPs with AI-assisted development tools, and work with growth and analytics teams to optimise acquisition, tracking, and conversion funnels.
- Analyse conversion, retention, churn, and lifetime-value metrics to guide product decisions; establish technical frameworks, processes, and launch playbooks.
