- Minimum 5 years of experience as a clinical informaticist, data scientist, software developer, or in another relevant role.
- Healthcare technology experience is required.
- Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field, or comparable related work experience.
- Experience with FHIR is highly preferred.
- Experience with Clinical Quality measures is highly preferred.
- Experience with Clinical Decision Support algorithms is preferred.
- Prior Authorization Adjudication Algorithms experience is beneficial.
- Experience with query languages such as SQL is an asset.
- Programming or programming-tools experience is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrate collaborative, verbal, and written communication skills, along with analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Write simplified healthcare code to represent healthcare specifications, including eCQMs and CDS-Hooks.
- Research FHIR data models, CQL logic expressions, and definitional models to express healthcare specifications.
- Design test plans to ensure the code generates correct FHIR data.
- Generate sample FHIR data to exercise defined test plans and criteria.
- Document, maintain, and publish results in FHIR Implementation Guides.
- Collaborate with healthcare specialists, clinicians, and terminologists to implement requirements and test implementations.
- Provide expert feedback on prior authorization policies, including analysis of complexity, scope, and effort.
- Identify and capture best practices and lessons learned.
