Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Have strong MySQL knowledge and database structure design skills.
- Have experience working with Oracle databases.
- Know AWS, particularly Amazon RDS.
- Be able to review SQL code and optimize queries.
- Have experience monitoring and tuning database performance.
- Be able to automate administrative tasks using Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Have analytical and diagnostic skills and be able to solve problems.
- Create high-quality technical documentation.
- Have very good English and communicate with people at different organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop relational database structures.
- Administer MySQL and Oracle databases on AWS, particularly Amazon RDS.
- Maintain database availability, performance, and security.
- Design backup strategies and automate scaling and data recovery.
- Review SQL code and optimize queries with development teams.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune database performance.
- Conduct security audits and support data-protection compliance.
- Develop scripts and automate tasks using Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Maintain technical documentation and participate in architecture discussions.
- Support MySQL 8.0 upgrades and database CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
