At least 4 years of commercial experience as a Database Administrator in a production-engineering environment.
Proficiency in MySQL administration and optimization, including execution-plan analysis, indexing, and slow-query optimization.
Hands-on experience with large-scale databases, including hundreds of millions of rows, replicas, migrations, and auto-increment key limits.
Strong relational database modeling and schema design skills.
Practical AWS experience, particularly Amazon RDS configuration, replicas, disaster recovery, and backups.
Ability to automate routine tasks and support CI/CD with Bash or Python.
Experience with SQL code review, least-privilege/RBAC policies, and PII and GDPR compliance.
English proficiency at C1 or higher.
Ability to conduct architectural reviews, write technical documentation, and educate developers on database practices.
Availability to start in approximately one month.

Administer and optimize MySQL databases, including execution plans, indexing, and slow queries.
Manage large-scale databases, replicas, migrations, and auto-increment key limits.
Configure Amazon RDS and support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Automate routine tasks and support CI/CD using Bash or Python scripts.
Conduct SQL code reviews and implement least-privilege and RBAC access policies.
Address database quality, security, and PII/GDPR compliance.
Lead architectural reviews and create technical documentation.
Educate developers on database best practices.
