Requirements
- Have 4+ years of professional experience as a DBA or Database Reliability Engineer.
- Have strong experience with Big Data.
- Bring deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB, including replication, backup tooling, and performance tuning.
- Have production experience with Redis, including persistence, replication, and Sentinel or Cluster.
- Have production experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database.
- Have experience designing high availability and disaster recovery for databases.
- Have solid Linux skills and scripting experience with Bash and Python.
- Have experience with database monitoring and alerting.
- Experience with Amazon RDS or Aurora is a plus.
- Experience running databases on Kubernetes with operators is a plus.
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform is a plus.
- Experience with SOC 2 or similar compliance controls is a plus.
- Exposure to trading, fintech, or market-data platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize production databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ClickHouse, and Redis.
- Ensure high availability, replication, backup, and recovery across database engines.
- Run regular disaster recovery tests and meet backup and recovery compliance controls.
- Tune queries, indexes, configuration, and resource limits.
- Manage ClickHouse for analytics, including replication, query limits, and workload isolation.
- Operate Redis for caching and real-time workloads, including persistence, replication, and failover.
- Plan capacity and storage growth.
- Automate database operations with infrastructure-as-code.
- Review schema changes and migrations with engineering teams, and support moves to the cloud.
- Take part in on-call and incident response.
