Requirements
- Have 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Have experience developing robust services according to modern best practices.
- Demonstrate software engineering fundamentals in modularity, abstraction, data structures, and algorithms.
- Be proficient in Rust and JavaScript.
- Understand database systems, including SQL and/or non-relational databases.
- Have participated effectively on a distributed team.
- Make pragmatic delivery decisions within specific timeframes, including trade-offs and safeguards when implementing functionality.
- Bring curiosity and interest in learning new things.
- Bonus: Have front-end development experience.
- Bonus: Have experience with Kubernetes or OIDC/OAuth2.
- Bonus: Have successfully contributed to an open-source project.
Responsibilities
- Develop administration and monitoring tools to improve Firefox’s ease of use and security in large deployments.
- Improve Firefox functionality by integrating it with remote services.
- Assess work against the team and product roadmap.
- Recommend priorities for the team and product roadmap.
- Work with a geographically distributed development team.
