Requirements
- Have staff-level engineering experience leading large, ambiguous initiatives as a hands-on individual contributor.
- Own delivery, tradeoffs, and major architectural decisions across teams.
- Demonstrate technical leadership by improving engineering practices and influencing peers across teams.
- Partner with engineering leadership to resolve complex decisions and raise technical standards.
- Have designed, built, and operated production systems on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS, or equivalents.
- Have experience with containers and infrastructure as code using Terraform or Terragrunt.
- Apply sound judgment around scalability, reliability, and security.
- Have improved CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
- Build self-service tooling, developer environments, and scalable abstractions for engineers and autonomous AI agents.
- Have designed observable production systems using Datadog or equivalent tooling, including monitoring and alerting.
- Be able to diagnose complex production failures and drive lasting improvements.
- Be willing to build and implement fixes hands-on.
Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams within the Continuous Delivery initiative from design and architecture review through production.
- Improve CI reliability, merge workflows, deployment automation, and local development environments.
- Lead technical proposals and influence architectural decisions across teams.
- Own cloud infrastructure and developer platform architecture.
- Advance automation, self-service environments, and infrastructure for autonomous AI engineering workflows.
- Share responsibility for production reliability and operational support with the distributed Platform team.
- Participate in on-call and incident response during Americas hours.
- Own organization-level initiatives such as infrastructure standards, architecture governance, technical documentation, and engineering-wide reliability practices.
