Bring strong, proven experience as a backend engineer building production systems.
Have experience with Java; Kotlin is also welcomed. Spring Boot is preferred.
Have hands-on experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures; Kafka or similar messaging platforms are preferred.
Have experience building high-integrity transactional systems where correctness, idempotency, consistency, and auditability are critical.
Have experience designing clean, well-documented REST APIs and secure webhook integrations for external customers.
Have experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Understand secure coding practices, access control, and role-based permissions in regulated environments.
Use AI tools and agentic workflows to improve delivery speed and quality.
Blockchain experience with EVM-compatible networks, ERC-20 tokens, smart contract interaction, Web3j, ethers.js, or Solidity is a bonus.
Experience with stablecoin issuance, tokenisation, custody, or wallet infrastructure is a bonus.
Familiarity with sanctions screening, the Travel Rule, or other digital-asset regulatory controls is a bonus.
Payments, banking, or regulated financial services experience is a bonus.

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for stablecoin issuance, including mint and burn flows, supply management, and token configuration.
Build issuer controls for freeze and unfreeze, seizure into quarantine, pause and resume, and maker-checker approvals.
Integrate backend services with smart contracts on EVM-compatible networks, ensuring blockchain interactions are reliable, idempotent, observable, and safe under failure.
Build event-driven services and signed webhooks to keep issuers, internal systems, and ledgers in sync.
Maintain tamper-evident audit trails for issuance actions and reconcile them with downstream accounting systems.
Collaborate with digital assets, ledger, identity and access, financial crime, and security teams to deliver features end to end.
Contribute to architecture decisions, review code, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
Own services in production, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and reliability and performance improvements.
