Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience designing and building scalable backend services in a modern production environment.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Go.
- Have a deep understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Be well-versed in SQL and relational database design.
- Have general knowledge of frontend development and be able to perform basic tasks in frontend applications.
- Have excellent English skills.
- Be based in a European time zone.
- Hold a Computer Science degree or related qualification, or have equivalent work experience; this is desired.
- Have valid right to work.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core APIs and backend services.
- Own the operations and monitoring of production systems.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs into the platform.
- Own the design and implementation of new features and services.
- Identify best practices and create or suggest standards for the engineering department.
- Document solutions using clear code and supporting documentation and diagrams.
- Mentor junior colleagues and onboard new joiners.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
- Share insights and results in relevant meetings.
- Propagate backend changes to frontend when needed.
