Requirements
- Have at least 8 years of law firm experience serving clients in renewable energy or related industries.
- Bring extensive experience with debt and tax equity project financing.
- Have experience with construction and permanent debt, back-leverage, HoldCo and corporate financing, and tax credit transfers.
- Demonstrate ability to act as lead counsel on sophisticated financing transactions and manage deals independently with minimal supervision.
- Have a strong foundation in corporate law.
- Project and portfolio M&A experience is valued.
- Demonstrate drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Be able to manage several complex matters under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Work collaboratively and be committed to mentoring junior attorneys.
- Be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Be admitted to and in good standing with the Bar of the state where you reside.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex renewable energy financing transactions with minimal oversight.
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate term sheets, definitive transaction documents, and ancillary agreements.
- Advise on construction and permanent debt, back-leverage, HoldCo and corporate financing, tax equity, and tax credit transfers.
- Coordinate with clients, colleagues, and external professionals on transaction matters.
- Oversee and support attorney teams throughout complex transactions.
- Guide and mentor junior attorneys.
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously, stay organized, and meet demanding deadlines.
