Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience in civil litigation.
- Have prior experience handling class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour matters.
- Hold an active license to practice law in Minnesota, or an active license in another US jurisdiction with admission to the Minnesota Bar pending.
- Demonstrate experience managing civil discovery and litigation proceedings.
- Have strong oral advocacy skills and experience appearing before courts.
- Have experience drafting and arguing motions.
- Have hands-on experience taking and defending depositions.
- Demonstrate legal research, writing, analytical, and case strategy skills.
- Be able to manage complex matters independently and collaborate effectively with legal teams.
- Be willing and able to travel occasionally as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage wage and hour class action litigation and other complex employment-related cases.
- Handle key stages of civil litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and courtroom proceedings.
- Develop litigation strategies and oversee document production and evidence during discovery.
- Prepare and argue motions and represent clients at hearings and other court appearances.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Develop and execute case strategies involving wage and hour violations, unfair business practices, discrimination, and related claims.
- Represent employees in state and federal courts.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues on complex class and representative actions.
- Travel occasionally for court appearances, depositions, or other case-related activities.
