Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of Group Benefits product management experience.
- Broad knowledge across group insurance products.
- Experience developing strong relationships with matrix partners, Distribution, Operations, Technology, and external vendors.
- Ability to identify strategic opportunities and lead complex initiatives with minimal direction.
- Ability to develop recommendations, business cases, and options for senior leadership decision-making.
- Ability to balance customer needs, competitive positioning, operational capabilities, and financial objectives in product recommendations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead multiple initiatives while prioritizing competing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage assigned product initiatives, owning end-to-end product processes and outcomes.
- Build technical knowledge across Life, AD&D, Long-Term Care, Voluntary Benefits, and future product offerings.
- Gather market intelligence on products, pricing, positioning, value propositions, and channel opportunities with cross-matrix partners.
- Translate the established product vision and multi-year roadmap into product plans, initiatives, and recommendations.
- Create product tools and materials for internal and external sales teams, and provide ongoing consultation.
- Partner with Marketing to support B2B strategies and provide product information to clients and brokers.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives throughout the product lifecycle, supporting growth, performance, implementation, and operational excellence.
- Use internal data and metrics to assess product performance and develop recommendations and business cases for senior leadership.
