Requirements
- Have two or more years of experience in grants, funding advisory, or a related role.
- Have experience managing a high volume of clients or projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong editing, review, and quality-control skills.
- Have a solid understanding of Canadian government funding programs, including federal, provincial, municipal, or sector-specific programs.
- Be comfortable using G Suite, CRM platforms such as HubSpot, and modern AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Demonstrate strong organization and time-management skills.
- Have clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Be comfortable operating in a fast-paced consulting environment with evolving priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 50+ active clients and serve as the primary coordination point for grant-related work.
- Translate clients’ business priorities, projects, and technical roadmaps into grant strategies.
- Monitor federal and provincial funding programs and assess eligibility, effort, timing, and likelihood of success.
- Advise clients on which funding opportunities to pursue or deprioritize.
- Track each client’s grant pipeline, deadlines, submission status, and outcomes.
- Coordinate internal and external grant writers and subject matter experts, providing briefs, context, and deadlines.
- Review, edit, and quality-check submissions for client alignment and funder requirements.
- Contribute to application writing and use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude for research and drafting with human oversight.
- Support post-submission follow-ups and funder questions, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, SR&ED, and other internal teams.
