Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience operating production infrastructure.
- Have hands-on production Kubernetes experience with stateless and stateful workloads.
- Have run at least one Kubernetes operator in production.
- Have in-depth AWS experience with EKS, networking, storage, identity, multi-AZ design, and cost awareness, or similar cloud experience.
- Have experience with workload and cluster autoscaling, such as KEDA or Karpenter.
- Know GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux and deployment strategies.
- Understand services, ingress, network policies, and cross-cluster communication.
- Have observability experience with Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, including SLOs, alerts, and application and database monitoring.
- Have practical security experience with encryption in transit and at rest, secrets management, and privileged access to clusters and databases.
- Be comfortable operating the platform under relational databases.
- Use AI coding tools daily, such as Cursor or Claude Code, and take ownership of shipped code and manifests.
- Have professional English proficiency (B2+) and native Turkish.
Responsibilities
- Run the Kubernetes platform for Turkish products, including node lifecycle, upgrades, autoscaling, and resource policy.
- Lead the migration of relational databases from RDS to EKS, including operator choice, replication, cutover, rollback, backups, and point-in-time recovery.
- Own compliance evidence for data residency, encryption, secrets, privileged access, backups, and Ministry audits.
- Maintain high availability for PHP, .NET, and Node.js workloads through zero-downtime deploys, DB-safe releases, graceful shutdown, and right-sized scaling.
- Own GitOps delivery with Argo CD, deployment strategies, and environment promotion.
- Design and debug ingress, cross-cluster and cross-VPC networking, and controlled egress to Ministry systems.
- Build observability with Datadog, including SLOs, alerts, APM, database monitoring, and audit-grade logging.
- Operate migrated databases, including failover, upgrades, storage performance, capacity, and incident response.
- Automate infrastructure and keep the platform cost-aware.
