Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building user interfaces in a design engineering, front-end or design-focused engineering role.
- Have deep knowledge of React and TypeScript.
- Have a strong understanding of HTML, CSS and accessibility.
- Understand APIs, including reading documentation, building on real data and considering developer needs and API design.
- Provide a portfolio showing both work you designed and work you built.
- Have used AI in design and engineering work during the past year and be able to assess where it helps and where it does not.
- Have experience contributing to a design system that people use.
- Be comfortable taking a rough idea through to a shipped feature without a detailed specification.
- Communicate clearly with designers and engineers and explain design decisions and technical constraints.
- Have excellent written communication.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production UI for the Platform, Link UI and website in the codebases.
- Contribute components, tokens and documentation to the design system in code, keeping it in sync with Figma and other tooling.
- Prototype ideas in code to test them with customers and the team before committing to a direction.
- Improve interaction, motion, accessibility and performance across shipped work.
- Work with engineering on how front-end work is built, reviewed and released.
- Help engineering teams design APIs and changes to APIs.
- Build tools and prototypes that help design and engineering work together.
- Help shape how the team uses AI.
