Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Experience at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, or other regulated financial services organization preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and document journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Own and help optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and process automation initiatives.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the development and enhancement of internal financial reporting and reporting distribution processes.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Coordinate with the parent company on tax documentation and information requests.
- Support adjacent teams in a multi-entity environment.
- Assist with weekly reserve computations and related reporting.
- Develop, document, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects.
