  • Have a strong accounting foundation and working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Independently own workstreams, navigate ambiguity, coordinate dependencies and drive work to completion with limited day-to-day oversight.
  • Turn detailed accounting and financial data into insights, identify anomalies and root causes, and explain financial movements.
  • Have advanced Excel or equivalent analytical skills and hands-on experience with data visualization or business-intelligence tools.
  • Have practical experience using automation and emerging AI tools in finance or accounting, with an understanding of human review, data controls, governance and auditability.

  • Communicate clearly with accounting and non-accounting audiences and produce concise reporting packages, visual summaries and issue narratives.
  • Have strong systems aptitude and curiosity about ERP, reconciliation, reporting, workflow and data environments.
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience is strongly preferred; SQL or similar data-query experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage close-management and close-readiness routines, including calendars, dependencies, issue escalation, completion visibility and follow-up actions.
  • Build and improve the US Controller close reporting package, summarizing financial movements, variances, open items, accounting judgments and control matters.
  • Develop repeatable accounting analytics and visualizations to identify trends, anomalies, breaks, aged items and recurring adjustments.
  • Own one or more recurring accounting areas, including journal entries, reconciliations, substantiation, supporting schedules and review-ready documentation.
  • Design and improve review routines, checklists, evidence standards, certifications and issue logs that clarify ownership and exceptions.
  • Analyze account balances and financial statement movements, investigate root causes, and partner with accounting owners and upstream teams to resolve issues.
  • Work with Finance Systems, Data and business stakeholders to improve source-data quality, reporting logic, reconciliations and data lineage.
  • Partner with Treasury to monitor debt portfolio performance, covenant compliance and financing metrics through scalable analytics and reporting.
  • Apply automation, AI and agentic tools to recurring close work, and partner with Finance Change & Transformation to define use cases, validate outputs and support adoption.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and follow-up actions to resolve close issues and address root causes.
