- At least two years’ experience in property maintenance, refurbishment or a closely related trade services business.
- A track record of winning work, converting quotes or growing client accounts.
- Strong sales, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- A sound understanding of pricing, costs and profit margins.
- Practical trade knowledge and a commitment to keep developing it.
- Hands-on experience using ChatGPT or similar AI tools, with examples of productivity improvements.
- Experience coordinating clients, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Confidence using CRM systems, job tracking software and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working towards targets, participating in daily stand-ups and contributing to process improvements.
- Strong organisation, clear written and verbal communication, and reliable follow-through.
- A reliable modern computer, dual-screen setup, good-quality camera and headset, fast reliable internet, and a dedicated quiet home office.
- Availability to work agreed hours supporting UK clients and delivery teams.
- Comfort working independently, remaining accessible and taking ownership of targets and results.
- A degree in any field and occasional weekend availability are advantages.
Responsibilities
- Identify and win new clients through outbound sales, referrals and networking.
- Convert inbound enquiries into booked work through proposals, communication and follow-up.
- Build client relationships and identify quote opportunities within existing accounts.
- Prepare clear, itemised quotes with accurate scope, pricing and exclusions.
- Coordinate surveys and negotiate pricing, availability and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, materials and access throughout project delivery.
- Keep clients informed, resolve issues and verify completed work.
- Manage invoicing, payment follow-up and project profitability.
- Use ChatGPT and other AI and automation tools to improve productivity, checking generated outputs for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate client, opportunity and job records and develop trade knowledge.
