Requirements
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including significant expertise in platform architecture, distributed systems, enterprise software, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale SaaS platforms or cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of cloud services, containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and observability.
- Experience designing secure integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL, event streaming, and modern integration frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise application ecosystems; Autodesk, Esri ArcGIS, Bentley, Deltek Vantagepoint, or enterprise content management experience is preferred.
- Understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, data pipelines, data integration patterns, and API-based data access.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML application architecture, including LLM integration, RAG, vector search, and AI orchestration.
- Understanding of enterprise security architecture, identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and enterprise data protection.
- Ability to work directly with engineering teams, validate architectural decisions through implementation, and guide technical execution.
- Ability to develop technical roadmaps, establish architectural standards, and align platform investments with business and product priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote position based in the United States while collaborating with distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and evolve platform architecture for scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and flexibility.
- Design and develop reusable platform capabilities, including identity and access management, APIs, notification services, workflow orchestration, and common application services.
- Establish engineering standards for cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and deployment automation.
- Design and implement integrations across enterprise applications, engineering systems, content management platforms, and digital products.
- Partner with data engineering and data architecture teams to enable secure access to enterprise data through shared services, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Define reusable capabilities for generative AI, AI agents, large language models, RAG, vector search, and intelligent automation.
- Work with engineering teams on solution design, architecture reviews, technical decisions, code-level challenges, and implementation issues.
- Build and maintain an incremental platform roadmap that balances delivery needs with long-term technical sustainability.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams on security controls, identity management, authorization, data protection, monitoring, and operational readiness.
