Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Engineering, or a related field with outstanding academics, or equivalent experience and demonstrated ability to learn.
- At least 3 years of experience working on a professional development team.
- Strong software engineering experience developing production applications.
- Experience administering Kubernetes clusters; Amazon EKS is preferred.
- Experience with AWS services including EKS, RDS, IAM, S3, Route 53, ALB, and CloudWatch.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience automating infrastructure, deployments, or operational workflows.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, distributed systems, and modern application design.
- Experience troubleshooting production systems in cloud environments and familiarity with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms.
- Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar, or a strong willingness and proven ability to learn and adopt AI-powered engineering workflows.
- Experience with test-driven development using NUnit or similar, strong SQL development experience, and familiarity with client-side JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as ReactJS or EmberJS.
- Ability to work effectively with non-technical business partners, collaborate, solve problems with an ownership mindset, and mentor team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance customer-facing product functionality across the healthcare platform.
- Develop reliable, scalable, maintainable software and services using modern engineering practices.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes-based application deployments.
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and build reusable infrastructure modules and deployment patterns.
- Automate operational processes and collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment processes, developer workflows, and platform capabilities.
- Monitor production environments and improve observability, alerting, and operational health.
- Identify and resolve scalability, performance, reliability, and operational challenges; troubleshoot production issues and implement durable solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, automate tasks, generate tests, and improve documentation.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and the platform’s long-term technical direction; write clean, tested, and documented code.
