Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of QA experience.
- 5+ years of management experience at a Director level or equivalent senior leadership position.
- Experience working within a regulated, compliant SDLC in healthcare or life sciences, with HIPAA and 21 CFR Part 11 exposure.
- Direct experience building and leading QA for a multi-tenant SaaS product.
- Demonstrated experience introducing AI-assisted testing into an established organization.
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI tooling across the SDLC, including AI-assisted test generation and self-healing test runners.
- Experience using Playwright at scale in CI and modern web and API automation, including contract and API testing.
- Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC and quality engineering in Agile and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing offshore teams and contractors supplied through external vendors, including selecting, onboarding, and managing QA vendors and partners.
- Excellent executive communication skills and experience reporting metrics and strategic progress to C-level stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic integration of generative and predictive AI tools throughout the SDLC, including AI-assisted test case creation, requirements analysis, and risk-based test coverage.
- Scale quality output to keep test capacity aligned with development while monitoring release cycle time, escaped defects, automated coverage, and regression runtime.
- Oversee automated testing strategies for a multi-tenant SaaS platform, including Playwright, AI-powered self-healing infrastructure, tenant isolation, data segregation, and configuration-driven test matrices.
- Direct QA organization activities to support continuous validation, platform stability, and quality engineering practices.
- Ensure QA practices, documentation, and evidence meet applicable healthcare and regulatory requirements, and support internal and customer audits.
- Own review, approval, and evidence frameworks for AI-assisted test assets to meet traceability and audit standards.
- Partner with Security and DevOps to embed security testing in delivery pipelines and ensure PHI is handled and de-identified appropriately in test environments and data.
- Lead distributed in-house and vendor QA teams across time zones and maintain partnerships with QA vendors and tool providers.
- Own quality plans for concurrent product launches and SaaS releases, including release trains, phased rollouts, feature flags, and release-readiness criteria.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop QA leaders and engineers; manage budgets, defects, metrics, and resource forecasting.
