Requirements
- Strong professional software engineering experience and a record of building and owning complex backend systems.
- Deep expertise in Java or Go, including concurrency, memory management, performance tuning, and modern idiomatic code.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs.
- Experience building production or near-production RAG systems, including embeddings, vector or hybrid search, chunking, reranking, and retrieval evaluation.
- Experience with AI agents, including tool and function calling, multi-step planning, memory and state, and handling failures and non-determinism.
- Experience with prompt and context engineering and evaluating LLM features.
- Daily, effective use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to reason about correctness, performance, and distributed-systems trade-offs.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL and hands-on experience with at least one of ClickHouse, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or Redis at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible, including deploying, debugging, and operating services.
- Working proficiency in React and modern frontend development.
- Clear written communication and comfort working remotely and asynchronously.
Responsibilities
- Build LLM-powered features and autonomous agents for test authoring, failure diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and test repair.
- Build RAG and retrieval systems over test artifacts, logs, traces, DOM snapshots, and code; own chunking, embeddings, search, ranking, and context construction.
- Build evaluation harnesses, guardrails, observability, cost and latency controls, and fallbacks for production AI systems.
- Design and build Java or Go platform systems for session orchestration, scheduling, resource management, and high-concurrency services.
- Own the data layer across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- Containerize, deploy, and operate software using Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible in customer environments.
- Profile performance bottlenecks, design fixes, ship them, and monitor production results.
- Build React features when needed and set technical direction through design documents, architecture reviews, and prototypes.
