Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, strategic project management, or a related field.
- Have experience owning, implementing, and optimizing legal technology platforms, including CLM or comparable enterprise systems.
- Have experience designing scalable workflows, improving processes, and implementing operational best practices.
- Have experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, or technology-driven process improvements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive results with minimal oversight.
- Bring strong technical aptitude and experience collaborating with IT, Engineering, and other technical teams.
- Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, navigate ambiguity, and balance strategy with hands-on execution.
- Demonstrate at least Level 1 AI proficiency, using AI daily to boost personal productivity.
- Have experience at fast-moving technology companies.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare technology, digital health, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.
- Preferred: experience building or scaling legal operations in a startup or high-growth company, including managing legal operations team members.
- Preferred: familiarity with Ironclad, Spotdraft, or comparable legal technology platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the Legal department’s technology ecosystem, including CLM, matter management, legal intake, knowledge management, and workflow automation platforms.
- Develop and execute a scalable legal technology roadmap, identifying opportunities for AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Lead technology evaluations, implementations, integrations, vendor selection, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
- Design and improve legal workflows for intake, contract management, matter tracking, and internal service delivery.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop secure, effective, and scalable technology solutions.
- Support Legal leadership with technology budgeting, strategic planning, and operational priorities.
- Lead and develop a team of legal operations professionals, setting priorities and driving accountability.
- Translate strategic priorities into project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, competing priorities, and roadblocks, and report progress and outcomes to Legal leadership.
- Lead change management to support adoption of new systems, processes, and initiatives.
