Job Details

Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Have a track record of shipping full-stack features from start to finish.
Bring strong backend skills in Java and Python.
Have experience with REST or gRPC APIs and service design.
Have frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
Have experience building data-rich internal tools and dashboards with attention to usability.
Be able to become productive quickly in a large existing codebase with little hand-holding.
Use product judgment to turn loosely defined processes into simple, usable tools.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and work with several partner teams.
Familiarity with mobile release processes and CI/CD tooling is a plus.
Backstage plugin development experience is a plus.

Build a separate database for tracking the Release Process.
Understand Jira multi-team project dependencies and release-tooling automation to propose, design, and implement a solution.
Build release-gate views in the Release Manager Dashboard, including metrics, thresholds, pass/warn/block states, and next steps.
Build tooling for the flagship Spotify Android and iOS apps, with the ability to extend it to other clients.
Work with the Release Manager, Data Scientists, and Release Engineers to implement agreed decisions.
Write tested, maintainable code and document the work for team handover.
