Requirements
- Have 3-5 years of professional back-end software development experience.
- Have strong experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core.
- Have experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Have solid SQL skills, preferably with SQL Server, including schema design, query writing, and performance tuning.
- Have experience with an ORM such as Entity Framework.
- Have hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools, and the judgment to review and verify their output.
- Write automated tests and be comfortable with Git team workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code review.
- A computer science degree with a strong grounding in theory and fundamentals is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and build integrations with external services, including background check and drug testing providers.
- Design, build, and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs in C# and .NET.
- Model data and write efficient, well-indexed SQL Server queries.
- Write safe, reviewable scripts for schema and data changes.
- Improve service performance, reliability, and security, including caching and background processing.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in the code you own.
- Write unit and integration tests for changes and work with QA on end-to-end coverage.
- Participate in code reviews, write technical specs and pull request descriptions, and collaborate with product and front-end teammates on requirements, designs, and estimates.
