Requirements
- Hold a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- Have 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience.
- Have strong understanding of Ruby and Rails, or deep experience with a similar backend framework and willingness to learn Rails.
- Be proficient in JavaScript; experience with React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
- Have experience or strong interest in AI/LLM technologies and prompt-first development workflows.
- Have a track record of maintaining production applications and writing clear, maintainable, tested code.
- Have experience with Git, CI/CD, and regular deployments.
- Have excellent written communication and code review skills.
- Value UX and usability and care about the end-user experience.
- Ability to mentor other engineers is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build core backend functionality in Ruby on Rails and relational databases.
- Work daily in Claude Code and ship features using LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Architect backend improvements for performance and scalability.
- Build React components in TypeScript for customer-facing features.
- Build and deploy third-party integrations to expand platform functionality.
- Drive projects from concept to production by identifying an approach, executing it, and shipping it.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product decisions and user experience.
