Requirements
- Experience leading multi-team engineering organisations through managers.
- A record of growing engineering leaders and delivering through change.
- Daily practical fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot.
- Sound judgment about the strengths, limits and risks of AI-assisted development.
- Technical depth across architecture, delivery, reliability and security.
- Comfort engaging in technical details, design reviews and code reviews.
- Experience with marketplaces and complex, high-stakes products where reliability, privacy and security matter.
- Ability to connect engineering strategy to customer outcomes and business results.
- Ability to partner with Product, Design, Data and business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Set engineering strategy and the roadmap across Marketplace, Patient Engagement and Payments, tying technical decisions to product outcomes.
- Build and develop engineering teams, clarify ownership and strengthen the leadership bench.
- Partner with Product and Design to bring AI into discovery, booking, engagement, care continuity and payments.
- Set standards for evaluating AI-assisted development output and protecting quality, security and privacy.
- Guide architecture and engineering standards across the portfolio, balancing pace with reliability, security, privacy and scale.
- Improve delivery by setting clear priorities, using useful measures and addressing recurring problems at their source.
- Align with engineering peers on shared platforms and explain technology trade-offs to executives.
- Use AI coding tools, participate in design and code reviews, and prototype solutions to unblock difficult problems.
